It’s worth the wait…  Due to Monarch’s late opening this season, the first trip of the year for SnowCats has been moved to Friday, Dec. 16.  Money and forms for the 9th will be rolled over to this first trip.  Thank you for your understanding, Mother Nature likes to keep things interesting!

Many of you have been anxiously awaiting the first trip of the 2011-2012 Custer County SnowCat season.  Snow dependant, we will be taking our first trip Friday, December 9.  Check out the pages for dates, prices, and forms to fill out.  Forms and payment will be due Thursday, December 1 and need to be turned in to the school office or Ms. Smith.

First Class Program

We believe that every child that grows up in Colorado should have the opportunity to learn the state’s signature winter sport. Colorado Ski Country USA’s new First Class program offers 5th graders that opportunity during January 2011. Children who have neither skied nor snowboarded, and are enrolled in the 5th Grade Passport program, have the opportunity to receive one free beginner lesson and rental package.

You can even catch a free ride up with the SnowCats!

The SnowCats are gearing up for their first trip to Monarch Ski and Snowboard Area Friday, December 10.  If you are interested in joining us, click on the forms page to print and fill out proper paperwork and return with payment to Ms. Smith or the Custer County School Office by Thursday, December 2.  If you have any questions, please contact me at 783-4924 or 371-8567!

Welcome to the tenth annual SnowCat Program!  The program is designed for ANYONE – 7 and older who would like to have the opportunity to ski or snowboard at Monarch Ski and Snowboard Area for reduced prices.  For those interested, you must read thoroughly and complete the permission,  participant and release forms and turn in by the appropriate due date with payment to Ms. Smith or the Custer County School Office.

5th Graders – Don’t forget to sign up for the hottest deal!  Get your 5th Grade Passport that allows 3 free days of skiiing/snowboarding at all Colorado Ski Country resorts…click on the link to the right for more information!
